Who am I...
My name is Tricia Sévigny
For several years, my life has been profoundly transformed by health challenges. A diagnosis of COPD (emphysema and chronic bronchitis), followed by widespread osteoarthritis affecting several parts of my body, forced me to slow down and then abandon activities that were integral to my identity — including my grooming salon and the sport I loved so much.
This period was marked by a great deal of self-questioning. A loss of bearings, a decrease in my independence, and difficulty finding my place in the job market undermined my confidence and self-esteem. It was at this time that I discovered, almost by chance, the world of reborn dolls. Initially skeptical, I nevertheless decided to try them… without suspecting the profound impact they would have on me.
From the very first moments, I felt an unexpected sense of peace. Little by little, these dolls became much more than just objects: they helped me calm my anxiety, regain a sense of balance, and reconnect with positive emotions.
Over time, a new passion was born. I began creating my own reborn dolls. My beginnings were hesitant, imperfect… but each creation allowed me to grow, gain confidence, and rediscover myself.
Today, this art has become a true source of serenity, peace, and pride. Each doll I paint is made with care, patience, and love. It carries within it a part of my story, my journey, and the resilience I have developed over time.
Through my creations, I hope to offer much more than a doll: a moment of gentleness, comfort, and perhaps, for some, a sense of peace similar to that which I have found.
